The last thing a viewer saw was a flash of black. Now it is the finish.
A film could end on a flash of black. There was no black frame in it: the music ran twenty-seven milliseconds past the last picture, and in that sliver some players, QuickTime among them, painted black while others held the finish. The same film ended two ways depending on what you opened it in.
The sound stops where the picture does now, and the last thing a viewer sees is your whole route with the trip's totals over it.
