A new Map edge slider on the Film screen, a haze over the map that is gone, and a Look again that tells you what it decided to skip.

You can soften where the map ends

The same moment of a film twice, side by side, looking north over the mountains above Tarvisio on day 1. On the left, at Hard, the map stops in a straight diagonal line against the pale sky. On the right, at Softest, the map fades into the sky well before that line.

The map used to stop at the edge of the frame in a straight line, which reads as a screenshot of a map rather than as ground your route is on.

Map edge is a slider on the Film screen, under Advanced. It starts at Hard, which is that line. Nudge it and you get Soft, Softer and Softest, and the map fades out instead of ending.

The haze over the map is gone

A frame of a vertical film on day 5 of 5, at 467.7 km, as the camera pulls back over the last day's route into Ljubljana. The map and its shaded hills are clear from the top of the frame to the bottom.

There was a wash over the map that got worse the more straight down the camera looked. Clear top to bottom now.

Look again tells you what it skipped

The Look again result on an iPhone: "Found 1 more summit or pass and 1 border crossing marked on the map." Below it, 13 nearby summits and passes are listed as not named because the trip did not go over them, each with its distance, such as Cima Predil, "the trip went past it, 600 m away". Leave it and Add them buttons at the bottom. Taken September 19, 2026.

Look again re-asks the map about your route. It used to come back with a list and no account of itself, so a summit you expected and did not get looked like a bug.

A peak you rode past rather than over is not offered any more, and each one it leaves out is listed with the reason. A missing name is a decision you can see now.
