Who you're dealing with
How It Went is made and sold by CodeUX.design e.U., Herbert Poul, Wenhartgasse 23/3/6, 1210 Vienna, Austria (company register FN 518636a; the full details are in the imprint). These terms are the agreement between you and us for the How It Went account and for Premium bought on this website. By buying Premium here, or by using the account, you agree to them.
Buying on this website
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, tax, the renewal and cancellation of a yearly plan, and refunds are covered by Paddle's buyer terms and our refund page. Paddle's receipt and renewal emails link to where you can manage or cancel a yearly plan. Premium bought inside the app is sold by Apple or Google, under their terms.
What Premium is
Premium adds five more map looks and a photos-first layout, and with it you pick the soundtrack's style and what the film opens on. Everything else in the app stays free. A purchase made on this website goes onto your How It Went account, and every device signed in to that account unlocks it.
Premium Lifetime and Premium Yearly
Lifetime unlocks the full Premium tier, including what it gains later, for as long as How It Went exists, with no further payment. Yearly unlocks it for each year you pay for, and renews until you cancel. We don't promise that the app or the account service will always be available or free of errors.
Your license
Premium is for your own use. It's tied to your account, and you may not sell or share access to it. Don't use the app or the account service unlawfully, to infringe someone else's rights, or to interfere with its security. The app and everything in it, apart from what you bring to it, belongs to us.
Your photos, tracks and films
They're yours, and they stay on your devices. You confirm you have the right to use what you put into a film. If you believe a film made with How It Went infringes your rights, report it to the platform it was published on; you can also write to us at hello.howitwent@codeux.design.
When it ends
You can stop using Premium whenever you like. Deleting your account removes its purchases from it and cancels a yearly plan bought on this website. We may end a license for misuse, or when its payment is refunded or charged back.
Liability and law
We provide the app as it is. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited. Austrian law applies, without taking away any protection the law of the country you live in gives you.
